Hi there, I'm Bobby

I've recently returned home to the South-West of Ireland, having lived abroad for 6 years, first in Germany and most recently in Italy. During my time abroad I taught English as a foreign language. I moved abroad just after finishing my PhD in Philosophy, during which I worked as a tutor and teaching assistant. So, teaching has been a big part of my life for the past 8 years. I love teaching and I love the English language. Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing people gain in confidence and make progress in their ability to communicate in English.

I know all too well how difficult learning a language can be. Over the course of my life so far, I've spent a great deal of time learning very different languages: Gaelic, French, German, Italian. This experience grants a unique perspective, allowing me to understand the many problems the language learner must face, the dos and don’ts of how to improve fluency. Based on my wide experience as both a teacher and a student, I’ll help guide you to find the best way to improve your speaking fluency, with high-quality, personalized lessons adapted to your needs and interests.
